The Boys Swim and Dive team made history on Saturday as the Eagles competed in the South Bend City Meet at Riley HS. The Eagles claimed their first City Championship since 1974. Adams tied with SB Riley, another first in the long history of the meet, with a score of 505. The depth and several season best performances from the young Eagles team helped propel the team to victory. Jonah Weikle had a standout day in the meet. Weikel won both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Butterfly as well as legs on two relays. Weikel was on the 200 Medley Relay that was the runner up along with Owen Kedik, Cruz Centellas, and Matteo Garcia Jimenez. The 400 Freestyle Relay of Weikel, Garcia Jimenez, Kedik, and Adam Larsen also finished in second as well. Garcia Jimenez took the runner up spot in the 50 and 100 Freestyles, Tomas Vleez took second in Diving, and Kedik was second in the Backstroke. In total, the Eagles finished with 25 podium finishes in the meet.
