Girls Swim and Dive Finishes 21st at IHSAA State Finals

The Girls Swim and Dive team had a great weekend of performances at the IHSAA State Final in Indianapolis. The Lady Eagles finished with several lifetime and season best times, sending the most number of qualifiers in several years to Indianapolis. Overall as a team, Adams finished in 21st place with a score of 22 points. Addy Szakaly made the podium in one event and set two School records over the weekend. On Friday night, Szakaly broke the record in the 50 Freestyle, finishing with a time of 23.47. On Saturday, Szakly made the podium in the 50 Free Finals, finishing in 6th place in 23.49. Later in the day, Szakaly won the Consolation Finals of the 100 Backstroke with a new record time of 55.69. There were great performances as well in both individual and relay events. Willa Kricheff finished in 21st in the 500 Freestyle and 20th in the 100 Breaststroke. Jenna Freymuth finished 21st overall in Diving. Szakaly, Kricheff, Liz Anderson, and Shan Dowd swam in two relays, the 200 Medley which finished in 17th and the 400 Freestyle which finished in 24th place.
