The Football team began the season on Friday night in front of a vibrant crowd at Everwise School Field. Adams took on Culver Academy and played full of energy throughout the entire game. The Eagles were victorious, defeating Culver Academy 35-7. The defense played exceptionally well in the game, holding Culver Academy to only 187 yards and setting up great opportunities for the offense to capitalize on. On their first drive down the field, Adams had some great runs, setting up a 1 yard touchdown run from Carson Bryce to give Adams the early lead. In the second quarter, the defense stepped up again stopping Culver Academy on several drives. The Eagles kept the energy and pressure up throughout the second half. The Eagles received the ball first after halftime and began with a 60 yard kickoff return to keep the momentum in favor of Adams and set up a 21 yard field goal from Eric Garcialazo. Defensively, two sacks on a two key plays from John Bond and Franklin Passwater stropped the Culver Academy drive down field. Adams scored again on a punt return from Bryce, running it back 45 yards into the endzone. There were several more great drives in the fourth quarter. Amani McKeel scored on a 1 yard rush and the final touchdown came when Bond picked up a fumbled ball to run it back 20 yards. Bryce finished with 141 yards on the ground and McKeel had 42 yards rushing. Cayden Keen went 5-8 from behind center for 79 yards in the air. On defense Leighton Prezbindowski, Lamar Shaw, and Franklin Passwater all had 4 tackles each Adams begins the season 1-0.
