The gym was full of energy and great play on Thursday night as the Girls Volleyball team hosted Elkhart. Behind an outstanding energetic student section and crowd, the Eagles and Lions battled it out in the Northern Indiana Conference match. It was a back and forth night but the Eagles ultimately lost to the Lions 3-2. Adams took the lead in the match with a victory in the first set. Adams beat Elkhart 25-23. It was just as close in the second set when Elkhart evened the series up with a 25-23 win. The Lions added to that lead in the third set, winning 25-15. Adams was not deterred however. Fueled by the positive energy of the crowd, the Lady Eagles evened the match up again with a 25-23 win in the fourth set. Faced with the decisive fifth set, Adams and Elkhart played an outstanding set with the Lions winning 15-11. The Junior Varsity team won 2-1 with set scores of 15-25, 25-20, 15-12. The Freshmen lost 0-2 with scores of 25-3, 25-8.
