The Boys Soccer team hosted an important matchup in the Northern Indiana Conference on Wednesday night at Everwise School Field. The Eagles had a great night on the pitch as they defeated longtime foe Mishawaka Marian in a shutout 5-0. Asim Elhag was hot for the Eagles in the first half, scoring both goals to give the team a nice lead at the half. Carlos Cubillo struck early in the second half to add to the lead before Diego Cruz would make it 4-0 as a pouring rain soaked the field and players. It did not dampen the Eagles’ spirits as they would add one more goal before the end of the game coming from a penalty kick from Manuel Garcia. The Eagles are now 4-2-1 overall for the season and 2-1 in the NIC.
