It was a thriller of a game on Friday night for the Football team. The Eagles traveled to play New Prairie in an important Northern Indiana Conference game for both teams. For the first time since New Prairie joined the NIC, the Eagles were able to defeat the Cougars 35-34 The game went down to the exciting fourth quarter, where each team scoring three touchdowns. Fueled by a great crowd behind them, the defense came up strong to prevent New Prairie from moving down the field as they had one final possession with under two minutes remaining. Adams enjoyed a 1 point lead at halftime, up 7-6. The touchdown for the Eagles was scored ona run by Cayden Keen. Amani McKeel scored a rushing touchdown in the third quarter before New Prairie tied it up 14-14 going into the final quarter. Cleal Kimbrough and McKeel both had touchdowns before New Prairie would score again to take the lead. A failed point after kick would doom the Cougars however. Adams sealed the victory with another touchdown from Kimbrough. Keen went 9-15 and threw for 125 yards with 2 touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown of his own. McKeel had 12 carries for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kimbrough had 4 receptions for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns.
