The Boys Cross Country team had a great morning to run on Saturday. The Eagles competed in the IHSAA Regional Championship Meet. After qualifying as a team a week before out of the Sectional Meet, the Eagles finished in 12th place with a team score of 347. Max Howk had an excellent race, running his personal best by nearly 25 seconds. Howk worked his way through the highly competitive field to finish in the top 30. With a trip to the IHSAA State Finals on the line, Howk crossed the finish line in 16:32.3, good for 28th place and earning one of the final spots as an Individual qualifier for the State Meet. Three more runners for Adams ran under 18 minutes. Adam Larsen, Eli Shane, and Preton Rupert all finished in the 17:00s. Joining them in the race were Gabe Fulcher, Max Critchlow, and Beau Desloover. Howk will race in next week’s IHSAA State Finals in Terre Haute.
