Football Ends Season At IHSAA Sectional Semifinal

The Football team began action in the IHSAA Sectional Tournament on Friday night, hosting the Kokomo Wildkats in the Semifinal at Everwise School Field. It was the first ever matchup between the Eagles and the Wildkats. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Adams lost to Kokomo with a final score of 22-14. Kokomo got out to a quick start, scoring all three of their touchdowns in the first half. Adams began to slowly clip their way back, narrowing the lead with a 20 yard pass from Cayden Keen to Cleal Kimbrough for the touchdown. Keen would connect with Kimbrough again to start the second half to score again. The defense came up big for Adams in the second half, shutting Kokomo out in the half. The defense was led by Donald Morris and Jarvis Saurel Banner who both had 7 tackles each. Keen went 8-15 for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns, Carson Bryce had 19 carries for 65 yards, Kimbrough had 3 receptions for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Quevon Parker had an interception for the Eagles.
