John Adams Athletics is proud to recognize its outstanding Student Athletes for the month of October. During these first few weeks of school these individuals have excelled in the classroom as well as the fields, courts, and courses they compete on. Congrats to our October Student Athletes of the Month! FOOTBALL Jarell Jones Jarell had 31 tackles and 3 for loss on the football field before an injury sidelined him halfway through the season. A starter both his junior and senior years, no injury can keep Jarell away from the team as he is still regularly on the sideline and active in the weightroom supporting his teammates. BOYS CROSS COUNTRY Max Howk Max has an outstanding junior season on and off the course. Max was recognized as Academic All State and also qualified to compete in the IHSAA State Finals. Max set a new personal best time at the IHSAA Regional Championship earning his a ticket to State GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY Agnes Hasler Agnes is having a great season on the cross country course! She has regularly placed as one of the top finishers at many of the teams races this season, including in the Top 10 at both the NIC Championship Meet and IHSAA Sectional Championship. Agnes also qualified for the IHSAA State Finals, the first girls from Adams to do so in 11 years. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL Addyson Stover Addyson has had a successful senior season both on the court and in the classroom as well! Addyson’s hard work in the classroom has paid off as she earned Academic All State honors from the IHSVBCA GIRLS SOCCER Helping lead the Girls Soccer team to another successful season, Briley led the team in assists in the final stretch of the season, including great play in the IHSAA Sectional Championship game where the Lady Eagles capped off their stellar season. UNIFIED FLAG FOOTBALL Dillon Flannigan Dillon has played an integral role jumpstarting the Unified program at John Adams. Dillon has played on the first three seasons of Unified Flag Football and helped the team collect 2 IHSAA Sectional Championship trophies in the first two seasons. CHEER Tiegan Luna Tiegan always shows up and brings great energy to the Cheer team. Tiegan shows up, works hard, and does an outstanding job of balancing her school work and busy cheer schedule supporting hte Eagles! BOYS SOCCER Eric Garcialazo Eric has had a great final stretch of the season. Eric only allowed 10 goals all season, and just 2 goals in the IHSAA Tournament. Eric made the game winning shot in overtime penalty kicks for the Eagles to win the IHSAA Regional Championship 2024 Regional Champions! The entire Boys Soccer team has had an outstanding season. Finishing one of the most impressive seasons for the Eagles on record, Adams finished the season with 16 wins and were crowned the IHSAA Sectional and Regional Champions.
